 An Ojibwa Formula

 Immune System Restorer and Booster

 HISTORY

 In 1922, Rene Caisse, a Canadian nurse started treating Cancer patients, with an herbal formula that had been given to her by an Ojibwa Indian herbalist. The majority of her patients were referred to her by the medical profession, and only after they had been deemed incurable, terminal and untreatable.

 She gathered and prepared the remedy herself, in her own kitchen. This was administered to them either orally or by injection. Many who had severe support organ damage died, however, they had lived longer than predicted, and even more importantly, pain free. Many others who did not have the severe organ damage, yet who had been deemed terminal, were cured. These cured patients lived 35-45 yrs. and many were still surviving in 1992.

 The amazing effectiveness of this remedy became well known, soon the Ministry of Health And Welfare, and the Parliament came into play. Friends and families of her patients, asking that she be legally allowed to treat anyone coming to her without interference from the authorities placed a petition signed by 55,000 before them. This effort to legalize fell short of approval by a mere three (3) votes in 1938.

Over the year's physicians of note found that this formula did indeed work. Dr. Albert Schatz (discovered of the cure for Tuberculosis) at Temple University, substantiated the benefits of the formula. Rene found that the remedy healed stomach ulcers (which she felt were precursors of Cancer) in three to four weeks. Sir Frederic Banting, wanted to work with Rene. He as the co-discoverer of insulin, was intrigued by cases of patients who had discontinued insulin upon commencing using the formula. It appeared that the formula regulated the pancreas, and those suffering with diabetes myelitis became insulin treatment free.

Dr. Gary Glum's wife who had been on thyroid treatment since 6thgrade, no longer needed it, after starting to take the formula. He himself used this formula. In an article by him in the "Unusual Alternative for Health" newsletter Aug/Sep 1992, he stated "Another thing I've found with Essiac is that I've experienced almost perfect health. As you get older you think: Well, I'm forty now - these things (sickness) will happen. Well, these things don't have to happen. Since I've started taking Essiac I've experienced almost perfect health. It's amazing! I sleep like a baby-have all kinds of energy-and no sickness, not even a cold or flu".

Dr. Glum states also that he worked in the Long Beach and San Pedro districts with the Los Angeles AIDS Project. 179 patients, with pneumocystis, carinii pneumonia and histoplasmosis, had been sent home to die. Their T-4 cell count was less than ten, and they were all less than 100 lbs. The project gave him five of these patients to work with. He took them off AZT and ddl and put them on Essiac, three times a day.

Only these five patients were still alive in 1992, the other 174 had died. In the same article listed above Dr. Glum says, "They're exercising three times a day and eating three meals a day. Their weight is back to normal. For all intents and purposes, you wouldn't know they were sick a day in their lives".

Dr. Charles A. Brusch, personal physician to the late President John Kennedy, worked with Rene Caisse, from 1959 to 1962. They together worked with thousands of cancer patients. Dr. Brusch also worked with the Presidential Cancer Commission, Dr. Armand Hammer, the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute. After ten yrs. of research, he concluded that "Essiac is a cure for cancer, Period". His studies were carried out in Laboratories in Canada and the U.S. Dr. Brusch was no longer practicing medicine in 1992.

At the time of Rene Caisse's death in 1979, at the age of 90, many of the patients she had treated were still surviving 35 yrs. later, and attended her burial.
